Concordia Seminary serves church and world by providing theological education and leadership centered in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for the formation of pastors, missionaries, deaconesses, scholars, and leaders in the name of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Concordia Seminary is currently engaged in a search for a Part-Time Coordinator for International Student Services to work in their Registrar's Office.


Provide orientation and general, non-academic support for International Students on campus during their studies at Concordia Seminary.



  • Coordinate international travel and arrange airport transportation
  • Organize housing accommodations in dorms or campus apartments
  • Serve as primary liaison to all admitted international students for pre-arrival, housing and adjustment.
  • Organize the purchasing of textbooks for international students
  • Assist international student population in integrating to the seminary community and assimilating to the U.S. educational system.
  • Organize and participate in International Student Orientation
  • Assist students with health issues and related insurance/health care needs
  • Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO), as required by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Supply support documentation and letters for various international student needs
  • Maintain and grow network and partnerships with local community and area churches
  • Other duties as assigned



Help in coordinating with the various departments the student will encounter while at Concordia, including:

  • Accounting & Financial Aid: processing of tuition payment, stipend distribution, and applicable tax documents
  • Registrar and Director of Graduate Studies:
  • Primary Designated School Official (PDSO): student visa documents
  • Residential Services: coordination of student housing and meal plan and other relocation needs for students moving to campus



  • An undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Cross-cultural experience is preferred.
  • Some experience in leadership positions, teaching and/or administration.
  • Applicants should be:
