Concordia Seminary serves church and world by providing theological education and leadership centered in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for the formation of pastors, missionaries, deaconesses, scholars, and leaders in the name of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Concordia Seminary is currently engaged in a search for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to work in their Seminary Support Office.


The Administrative Assistant provides support for the administrative operations of the Seminary Support team. Such support includes assisting gift officers and other team members with donor cultivation and stewardship activities, donor acknowledgement and donor database management.


  • Perform administrative and office support activities for the Seminary Support department, including the Executive Director.
  • Provide support to gift officers including performing donor database queries, arranging appointments, making travel plans, and preparing materials and other information for gift officer travel.
  • Assist gift officers with post-travel activities to ensure proper donor activity tracking in database including contact information, call reports, proposal entry and tracking, and follow-up correspondence.
  • Process all newly established endowments.
  • Prepare expense reports and reconcile purchasing card transactions for members of the Seminary Support department as assigned
  • Assist with special projects, donor campus visits, donor-centered events and mailings.
  • Maintain and order office supplies for Seminary Support.


  • Versatility, flexibility and a positive team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products as well as web-based databases. Active membership in a LCMS congregation and working knowledge of the LCMS is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years previous experience in an administrative support role
